This is a gouache experiment. I think it came out well. The key is to let it dry completely between layers of paint and also to not use too many layers of paint. Standard hat tip to Cara Mitten, one of my favorite artists.

I'm trying to learn how to use Painter 8. I'm seriously short of paper with which to do traditional media artwork and currently do not have the money to buy more. I think it's in my best interest to learn to use the tools I have here at my disposal. If you have tipz or something, I could use them, because Painter is only now not being frustrating :-) I'm planning on offering some free conbadges on livejournal. Not sure if anyone will bite, but...
